Once upon a time, there was a happy family with a daughter and a son. They decided they wanted a bigger family and were overjoyed to learn that they were expecting twins. Excitement filled their home as they prepared for the arrival of the adorable babies.
However, things took a difficult turn when the mom didn’t feel well at 23 weeks of pregnancy. Worried, they went to the doctor who suggested ending the pregnancy. Undeterred, the mom sought a second opinion in another city. In 2012, the first baby was born prematurely, and everyone was unsure if she would make it.
Despite the challenges, the mom chose not to end the pregnancy and waited until 87 days later to give birth to the second baby. While the first baby fought for her life, her sister remained in the womb.
The mom stayed by her first baby’s side in the hospital, and finally, at 36 weeks, she gave birth to the second baby, weighing 2.5 kg. The sisters were finally together. The doctors were amazed, and these twins earned a special place in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest time between the births of twins.
